Welcome
Welcoming all with open hearts means to become a more inclusive and diverse congregation. As an intentionally multicultural and intergenerational community, we value all people of every culture, age, orientation, status and class. We embrace them for who they are, where are they at, and welcome them to full participation in every life of the church.
Faith
Being a faith community means to be rooted in spiritual practices that nurtures and sustains our life in Jesus Christ. To grow in faith and in faithfulness are essential to who we are. Worship and spiritual development are important practices that allow people of faith to live out their lives with hope and love.
Compassion
Being a congregation that supports, encourages, cares for others are acts of compassion. Giving of oneself – of time, talents and treasures – are some of the ways that we respond to God’s generosity towards us. Becoming more generous and being a good steward of all of God’s resources are ways that we live out our lives with compassion.
Service
As people of faith, we are called upon to serve. Both inside the walls of the church and out in the world. We are to respond to the world that is in need. Through outreach, mission opportunities, through advocacy of peace and justice issues, we serve God’s world and God’s people.
